Measured by hand at 6 foot 8, 285 lb
Every “best tall clothing” list on the internet is written by somebody who never held the garment. This one is the opposite. I buy the clothes, I put a tape on them, and I publish the numbers — including the ones that went back.
Tall sizing is not a standard. Three shirts on my shelf are all labelled 3XLT and they are three inches apart around the chest. The label tells you about your height and almost nothing about your build, which is why the tape exists.

The Tall Sizing Database
Every garment I own, measured. 26 of them across 9 categories, each row linked to its full review. If you want one page, this is the one.
Tall Deals
What is worth buying right now, and the difference between a steal and a deal. Updated. Each entry carries the date it was last checked.
What are you shopping for?
Every link below goes to something I own and measured.
Jeans and trousers
The rise decides the pair, not the inseam. That is the single most useful thing on this site.
- Why tall jeans still fit wrong — it is the rise
- What height is a 36 inch inseam? Four pairs measured
- Rise vs inseam: what each one actually measures
- Cheap tall jeans that are worth the money
- Amazon Essentials chino — a true 36 inch inseam
- Casual or dress pants: how to tell which you need
- Barrel leg jeans: it depends on your build
Joggers, sweats and shorts
Where the cuff lands is the whole question, and almost nobody publishes a real inseam.
Shirts, polos and tees
Body length decides whether it stays tucked. It is the number brands are least honest about.
Sweaters, coats and layers
Knitwear rides up because the body is graded for a shorter torso. Here is what to check.
Activewear
Compression and technical fits behave differently. Stretch buys width, not length.
Shoes, socks and the rest
The bits that get forgotten until they are wrong.
Why any of this is worth trusting
I am 6 foot 8 and 285 pounds. I buy the clothes myself, wear them, wash them, and measure them flat with a tape. When something does not fit I say so and send it back, and the numbers stay published either way — the returns are often more useful than the keepers.
Where a figure turns out to be wrong, it gets corrected everywhere it appears and the correction is stated on the page. Nothing here is copied from a size chart, because size charts are what sent half of these garments back in the first place.
